Amazon enters as a publisher

“‘They Own the System’: Amazon Rewrites Book Industry by Marching Into Publishing,” The Wall Street Journal, January 17, 2019.  Leveraging its customer list and distribution system, Amazon decides to publish its own books.

What’s your customer list worth to you?  How do you compete with the 800-pound gorilla?  Do different rules apply to Amazon now that it’s gotten so big and powerful?
