Better late than never

“Facebook Removes Hundreds of Fake Accounts Ahead of India Elections,” The Wall Street Journal, April 2, 2019.  Facebook (the parent of WhatsApp) take down numerous accounts spreading fake news before the election in India.

Hopefully this is a learning from the 2016 US Presidential election.  But do platform owners have an obligation to control the content on their sites?  That’s Governance.  If they have such an obligation, do they have to exercise that control even-handedly?
