Unintended consequences

“Devices for Gun Safety Get Caught in Online Ad Bans,” The Wall Street Journal, February 6, 2019 A3.  Facebook and Google ban ads for guns, including ads for devices to improve gun safety.

Can a public platform decide what ads to accept and what ads to reject?  Who controls that decision?  If you’re a public forum, what are the implications if you restrict some legal speech?  Who governs that decision?  Just your shareholders?  Where else will people get this information?

So, Information (anything related to guns) and Governance (Who makes and enforces the rules, and controls the content, in a public forum with huge market power?).
