Information governance is not limited to managing the information you have; it includes getting the information that you need but do not yet have.

How do you know how well your product really works?

“For Cutting-Edge Analysis, Few Come Closer Than This Elite Shaving Squad,” The Wall Street Journal, April 11, 2016.  A bunch of guys hired to test Gillette’s razor blades shave every day and describes the results.

This, too, is analytics.  But not the analytics taught in B-school.
