NOW this will get the government’s attention

It’s one thing when a bunch of hackers get into OPM and get millions of records of federal employees.  The government will launch an immediate investigation.  Round up the usual suspects.

But it’s altogether something more attention-grabbing when the breach at a Panamanian law firm gives us insight into the banking habits of top politicians and their friends from Iceland to Russia.

Papers Ignite Fury Over Offshore Accounts,” The Wall Street Journal, April 5, 2016 A8.  It’s not so much that politicians bank offshore and perhaps avoid/evade taxes, but where did they get all the money to begin with?  How public will this investigation be?  Who’ll push for answers?  The investigative press, long thought dead.
